A beautiful example of a late 19th c. rustic antique terracotta amphora, likely French. Decorated with a salt-glazed banded wave decoration in aloe green and white.
A truly elegant piece with fine balance and proportions. These urns were typically used to store olive oil, confit, or olives. Display it alone as an historical object, or use it for a magnificent floral display.

A fine Anglo-Indian porcupine quill and ebony box with bone inlay decoration.
These examples are from the exhibition Myths: Gabrielle Teschner and each include a 19th c. Italian plaster intaglio from the Grand Tour.
Originally made for English colonists, by the late 19th century, this highly collectible art form had a thriving export market and most pieces date from 1850 to 1900.
