Audra was interviewed by Joshua Kamei, founder of Ladies of Madison Ave, at the 2024 Young Collector’s Evening of The Winter Show benefiting Eastside House about her outfit and The Artist’s Eye Project.

J[oshua]: You had a beautiful story about this dress. Could you tell me a little bit more about it?
A[udra]: Sure. So the dress is a dress that I’ve owned. It’s actually vintage Kate Spade, but the eye pins are a project that I recently did. I’m an art advisor and an art historian. They’re antique jewelry pieces that I have commissioned a miniaturist to paint artist eyes of women artists from history. To talk about the female gaze and thinking about who art history is for and what different perspectives are a part of that canon or have not really been recorded in that canon.
J: Wonderful. And it’s such detailed work. I want to show everyone just an up close. It’s beautiful. Thank you so much. And could I get your first name?
